Lighthouse contains 98 fiction and non-fiction books for guided reading at Foundation and KS1. Each reader has a set of teaching notes and a programme organiser for each year provides comprehensive teaching and assessment support.
Guided readers - 98 colourful stories and fact books
|These colourful and engaging readers are carefully levelled to Book Bands, to ensure your Foundation and KS1 children to continually progress as they build new reading skills.
Covering the full range of genres, there are 77 fiction and 21 non-fiction readers from Pink to Lime level and each book gives you key information, including high frequency words, text types and a synopisis on the back.

A set of teaching notes for each Lighthouse reader provides useful advice to help you plan and run your guided reading sessions and includes comprehensive follow-up ideas for group and independent reading.
Programme Organisers - 1 per year
A Programme Organiser for each year of Lighthouse includes all the teaching support you need.
Record-keeping sheets and assessment checklists help you determine children's progress and for your more able readers, shows you how Year 2 readers can be used to teach Year 3 learning objectives. There are also at-a-glance charts to show you how to use other books alongside Lighthouse, to ensure your children have the widest guided reading experiences.
