FREE experiment kits for all UK schools and colleges
Practical science exploring the mind and body in motion
We’re proud to be part of In the Zone, the Wellcome Trust’s major initiative inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games - with official ambassador Sir Steve Redgrave!
The project will encourage students to explore how athletes get 'in the zone' and what happens inside our bodies and minds when we take part in sport, exercise or everyday movement. It provides a fun, free and fascinating way to bring the science of the human body to life in your classroom, with FREE science kits sent directly to your school between February and March 2012!
Brimming with apparatus and experiments, the kits are designed to help students of all ages explore the science of how the human body works during exercise, movement, performance and rest.
The kits are complemented by the In the Zone website www.getinthezone.org.uk|, featuring fun online educational activities and a Live Data Zone where students can upload results of their experiments and compare them with the rest of the UK!
