"I am a primary school teacher with ten years’ experience. When I was young, I didn’t realise that the written word was for me to use or enjoy. I was never told I was a writer.

"I want the children in my class to have a different experience."

Phil Ferguson

"I have worked in both the maintained and the independent sectors as SENCO and Deputy Head."

"I had a drive to write from a very early age. It’s my ambition for every child to gain as much pleasure and empowerment from writing as I did."

Does Power English: Writing cover KS1 and KS2?
No. Power English: Writing covers KS2 only, from Year 3 through to Year 6.
Can I buy packages online?
Yes, you will be able to buy Power English: Writing online.
I don't want to commit to an entire package, can I buy single books?

Power English: Writing is a blended package with resources online and in print which are essential for developing and nurturing your children to become lifelong writers. We would not recommend using small parts of the programme in isolation as this will not deliver the best outcomes.

Do I need to buy the professional development course?

The professional development course is compulsory when purchasing Power English: Writing, as they help to train you and your colleagues in how best to use each component of the programme.

Do I need to buy both print and digital components?

The digital subscription gives you access to the pupil-facing genre booklets, as well as front-of-class whiteboard resources. The printed teacher guides contain all lesson plans, photocopiables, and a wealth of helpful guidance about getting the most out of the programme.
