Progress and Assess Professional Development

We offer all subscribers a range of Professional Development courses to develop your confidence, explain the essentials and help your school make the most of your resources.

Who is the course for?

For school leaders and teachers who want to ensure their investment in Primary Progress and Assess is embedded in practice in the classroom, and across the school so that there is a consistent approach to formative and summative assessment, tracking and reporting progress using the service.

This course will ensure all school leaders and teachers in the school have the

  • Understanding of the current changes to the assessment and accountability expectations for Primary schools from 2015
  • Confidence in how Progress and Assess can be used to support best practice in assessment, formative and summative
  • Superhero female teacherConfidence to use all the features of Progress and Assess to support assessment, reporting and tracking progress within the school’s teaching and learning cycle
  • Knowledge of how to use Progress and Assess to track pupil’s learning and progress throughout their life school and to analyse the data generated
  • Confidence through hands on activities in how to use the tests, commentaries, guidance and progression maps to plan for pupil progress in learning
  • Schools will develop their action plans to ensure Progress and Assess can be successfully implemented and used as possible after the training has taken place

For new Bug Club and Abacus customers, Progress & Assess will be part of your Bug Club/Abacus Professional Development. Existing Bug Club and Abacus customers wishing to receive training on Progress & Assess within their services should contact their local Pearson consultant to discuss your requirements.
