Allocating products to students
If your school has purchased a subscription that includes student resources, you wil need to allocate those resources to your students' accounts. These resources will frequently include ebooks, self-improvement exercises, and support for assigning homework tasks.
Your students will need to be registered on ActiveLearn before you can allocate products to them. It is also highly recommended to organise your students into groups before continuing, as this makes the allocation process simpler.

Allocating Products to Students
- In the Admin area, go to the Allocate products section, and select the courses that you want to allocate to your students. The Access column shows how many licenses your school currently has available for a given course.
- On the next page, choose the students you want to have access to the course. You can use the search tools at the top of the page to filter the student list by account details, group, or year. In the example below, the search results have been filtered to the group "10A/Fr".
Select which students you want to give access to the course by ticking the box next to their name. If you tick the box at the top of the column it will select all of the students in the list.
- Grant Access will allocate a license to the student(s).
- Remove Access will remove a license from the student(s), allowing it to be given to another student. This is useful when a student leaves a school or class.
The "Status" column on the right will show how many courses the student can currently access (out of the ones you have selected to allocate to them). It will update to reflect any changes you have made.
Once allocated, courses and/or books will automatically appear in the student's Library the next time they log in.
Did you know?
You do not need to allocate products to teachers; any teacher in your school can access all of the products in your school's subscriptions.
