This statement was prepared on 26 April 2021 and it will be updated on an ongoing basis.
The over-arching pedagogy for ActiveHub has been internally reviewed and aligned with the Universal Design for Learning Guidelines by CAST.
ActiveHub is being developed based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA*
Our accessibility testing is carried out by experienced internal Pearson Quality Assurance teams who are both differently abled and IAAP CPACC and IAAP WAS certified.
Increasing accessibility is generally prioritised for student facing content first.
*There will be some exceptions to this due to the way some parts of it are intended to be used.
There are print ready alternatives of some of the lesson content available as part of ActiveHub. These will generally be Word or PDF documents. If you need a large print PDF you can request that via the RNIB Bookshare platform
If you need a printed version of digital lesson content you can choose a print-ready only PDF option for that content.
There are also modified versions of past assessment papers available via the Pearson UK qualifications and assessments website under: Modified Formats
We know some parts of ActiveHub are currently not fully accessible. We are continually working to improve this. To help us with that your feedback is extremely important to us and details on how to do that are below.
