There are two Power Maths courses for schools that already have a subscription to Power Maths. One course is a half-day course and one is a full-day course.

The half-day course

This course covers the purpose and approach of the different sections of the Power Maths lesson and how to teach them, and also gives an overview of the Power Maths resources online.

It is aimed at teachers who already have a strong understanding of a mastery approach to maths and focuses solely on getting started with Power Maths.

There are three options for how this course can be taken:

The full-day course

This course covers the purpose and approach of the different sections of the Power Maths lesson and how to teach them, and also gives an overview of the Power Maths resources online.

This course makes no assumption that attendees have a deep understanding of a mastery approach to maths and includes some pointers about a concrete, pictorial, abstract approach and bar modelling.

There are four options for how this course can be taken:
