This title is part of Bug Club, the first whole-school reading programme that joins books with an online reading world to teach today's children to read.
In this non-decodable, non-fiction reading corner book our amazing bugs are in trouble. Without bugs, plants would not be able to make flowers or fruit. If bugs disappeared, so would strawberries, apples, beans and tomatoes, and even chocolate. Without them, we couldn't grow enough food to feed us all. If we lost bugs, we would also lose creatures who depend on them for survival, such as songbirds, badgers, bats and fish.
