The Reading Framework

At Pearson, we welcome updates to The Reading Framework and the additional information on fluency, motivation, and reading for pleasure, with a focus on Years 2–9. You know better than anyone that learning to read is one of the most important skills a child can learn and one we don't take for granted. We want all children to develop a lifelong love of reading.

Our National Primary Literacy Advisor has taken a look at each section of The Reading Framework to help schools and trusts to meet the laid out requirements. There are videos and supporting documents to help you evaluate your current reading provision, aligned with statutory guidance and Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework. We will also be sharing products from our portfolio that will help support you with implementation.
