Pearson Primary Literacy webinars

We've put together a series of helpful Primary Literacy webinars to run throughout this term. In these webinars, we'll be providing you with a walkthrough of the product, whilst offering you support and guidance on getting the very most out of our Pearson Primary Literacy resources. In each webinar there will also be the opportunity to have any questions you may have answered, through a Q&A session.

Bug Club Guided: 5 March 3:45–4:15pm

Discover our mastery approach to teaching reading fluency and deepening comprehension. This webinar will provide a walkthrough of the product, and we will signpost how it can help you to implement a mastery approach to guided reading.

Bug Club Phonics: 12 March 3:45–4:15pm

Discover our DfE (Department for Education) approved Systematic Synthetic Phonics teaching programme. With print and digital resources, this SSP (Systematic Synthetic Phonics) aims to help all children learn to read by the age of six in a fun and accessible way. This webinar will provide a walkthrough of the product, and we will signpost how it can help you to implement a whole class approach to teaching phonics whilst providing catch up for those children at risk of falling behind.

Rapid: 19 March 3:45–4:15pm

Discover our phonics intervention to fill the gaps for children in Year 2 to Year 6. Also, a collection of hi-lo readers in fiction and non-fiction. Available as eBooks, covering a variety of topics and themes that all children will love. This webinar will provide a walkthrough of the product, and we will signpost how it can help you to provide rigorous phonics and reading intervention for those who need it most.

Bug Club Shared webinar: 23 January

In this webinar, we introduced you to our books for story time, to inspire a love of reading and teach children cross-curricular vocabulary through a systematic approach. We provided a walkthrough of the product, and signposted how it helps you to explicitly teach vocabulary and support fluency in Reception and Key Stage 1.

Bug Club Reading Corner: 6 February

In this webinar, we introduced our diverse online library of over 100 beautiful books. Children can choose these books according to their interests, encouraging them to read for pleasure from Reception to Year 6. We also provided a walkthrough of the product, and signposted how it helps you provide all children from Reception to Year 6 with books on topics they enjoy to develop Reading for Pleasure.

Bug Club Independent: 20 February

In this webinar, we introduced you to over 200 exciting fiction and non-fiction books, comics, and graphic novels. Decodable from Phases 2 to 5, then finely levelled and suitable throughout KS2. We also provided a walkthrough of the product, and signposted how it can help you to support every child’s developing fluency.
