Free Rapid Phonics samples

Thousands of schools up and down the country use Rapid to help their struggling learners, including children from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with SEN, catch up in phonics – and the results speak for themselves. A Rapid Phonics trial in Neath and Port Talbot found children quadrupled their expected reading progress and doubled their expected spelling progress!

"The children’s self-esteem has really grown – they’re so much more confident." – Jane Aplin, Upton Junior School, Dorset

Teaching Guides and Teaching Support

Rapid Phonics teaching resources support teachers to deliver phonics intervention sessions suitable for one-on-one teaching or small groups.

Snappy Lesson Plans (included in Teacher Guides)

Snappy lesson plans introduce phonics concepts in a fast-paced and lively way. Lessons can be set-up quickly and easily with helpful objectives, summaries, and activities after a student is levelled.

Decodable Readers:

Rapid Phonics is divided into sets of decodable readers based on three synthetic phonics core steps:

  • Step 1: Alphabet phonemes (18 titles)
  • Step 2: Diagraphs and trigraphs (16 titles)
  • Step 3: Alternative spellings (22 titles)

The decodable readers feature:

  • clear sequencing of phonemes/graphemes
  • dyslexia-friendly fonts which are well-spaced and sized just right
  • repetition of the target phoneme/grapheme
  • inclusion of high-frequency sight words.

All 56 readers are available in print and digitally.
